The entire thing was caught on camera, as the event was being televised worldwide, and it made for an incredibly gruesome moment that millions had to unwittingly see.

Said"s leg quite literally snaps under him and bends in a way it isn"t supposed to — but if it"s something you can even stomach watching, here it is (below):
Even worse, in the immediate aftermath of the injury this time around in Rio, Said maybe wasn"t given the very best care as one would hope, considering the paramedics actually dropped him while on the stretcher and being loaded into the ambulance.

Our thoughts are with Said right now, considering what he endured four years ago and must now endure again.
We can"t even imagine the pain, the anguish, the suffering… let alone the emotional turmoil over having the Olympics taken out from under him now twice in a row due to devastating injuries.
So sad.
